This seven-week class focuses on crafting a compelling online presence and visual identity for artists and makers. Website design and development tools available on several popular platforms are discussed, along with extended customization possibilities using basic CSS and HTML. The curriculum introduces fundamental principles of brand identity design, graphic design, and typography, with an emphasis on design solutions that respond to students’ unique creative practices. Additional relevant technical skills covered include image editing and output, and creating rich-content documents and presentations for web and proposals. Through live lectures and demos, 1:1 time, and group critiques, participants develop and refine a visually striking, cohesive portfolio, along with other digital assets for professional development that authentically reflect their individual work and style.
