“Imagination is the workshop of the soul wherein man’s hopes and desires are made ready for material expression.”  ~ Napoleon Hill

Creativity is about making fresh connections, seeing things in new ways and with fresh perspectives. Imagination is the act of forming new ideas, images, and concepts that are not present to the senses and/or have never been wholly perceived in reality before.

In this class, we will explore the subconscious in our creative imagination through drawing. We will endeavor to foster creative imagination in our ideas, our work, and in ourselves exploring not only drawing skills and techniques, but also how we can utilize our creative imagination to serve practical ends. With these goals in mind we will explore non-traditional approaches to drawing, including working from dream imagery, inventing new realities, exploring abstraction, investigating three-dimensional approaches to drawing, creating new tools to draw with, experimenting with mixed media, and working collaboratively.
