The objectives of the 100 Drawings class are to strengthen both the student’s drawing skills and broaden the opportunities for experimentation and visual thinking through a rigorous concentration on the process of drawing. Students will explore a wide range of subjects and media including using collage, painting media, creating monotypes and other mixed media applications.  We will work from both observation and imagination at a pace of 20 drawings per day. Like running a visual marathon, 100 Drawings will inspire your creative spirit; bolster your confidence and open new avenues to enthusiastically make art in the future.

Notes: no chalk pastels

This course is part of MassArt New England summer workshops, where participants immerse themselves in full days of studio work with faculty and peers. Housing is available for participants of this program.
