Zhidong Zhang

Zhidong Zhang holds an MFA in Photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics from Central South University, Changsha, China. He also studies at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegan, ME.
Awards include a Mass Cultural Council Artist Fellowship in Photography and Robert Guard Grant (Finalist), The Robert Guard Foundation. Recent Artist Residencies include the Center for Photography at Woodstock, Kingston, NY and Boston Center for the Arts, Boston. He has exhibited locally, nationally and internationally. Recent exhibitions include Some Kinds of Queer, CUSP, Gallery, Hangzhou, China; BiHuSuo, Centre regional de la photographie, Douchy-les-Mines, France. Teaching includes Massachusetts College of Art and Design and as visiting artist at local colleges including Emerson College, Rochester Institute of Technology and Harvard University.
