Sofie Elana Hodara
Sofie Elana Hodara is a multimedia artist and educator. Often working collaboratively, she explores the intersection between traditional and cutting-edge media in order to create beautiful non-utilitarian experiences with technology. Hodara is a member of the Bromfield Gallery and her work has been exhibited across the country including Icebox Project Space in Philadelphia PA, US San Diego’s Calit2 Theater, and Boston Cyberarts Gallery. Additionally, her work has been featured in Fresh Paint Magazine, Made in Mind Magazine, the Journal of the New Media Caucus, and the Boston Globe. She has completed residencies at Groundwork Retreat, the Common Press, and boxoPROJECTS. And in January 2019, she spoke with collaborator and colleague, Martha Rettig, at the AR I n Action Leadership Summit at the MIT Media Lab.
Hodara teaches design at Emmanuel College, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and Tufts University and lives in Brookline with her husband Nate, and lots of art on the walls.
