Maria Rondeau

Maria Rondeau (USA/Guatemala) is a designer and artist interested in multi-disciplinary collaboration. She has developed a series of topographic and audio-visual productions exploring the relationship between space, place, and image. Maria graduated from the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University in 1996, and for over fifteen years has been involved in experimental architecture practices such as Morphosis, Office dA, and Monica Ponce de Leon Studio. Since 2008, Maria has taught at the School of Architecture of the Rhode Island School of Design as a Visiting Faculty member leading Advanced Studios and as Thesis Advisor. Maria is also the founder and director of Concepcion 41, an artist residency program based in La Antigua, Guatemala, established in 2013 to promote multi-disciplinary experimental projects within an open-ended site.
