Ellen Kaspern is the owner of Ellen Kaspern Design, a custom furniture and design company. She teaches furniture making and woodworking at the North Bennet Street School in Boston where she is an adjunct instructor in their Cabinet & Furniture Making program and a woodworking instructor in the Continuing Education program. She teaches woodworking techniques at various schools on the east coast. She has written articles and blog posts for Fine Woodworking Magazine and her lessons are featured in instructional videos for their website. She started out woodworking in her father’s shop and remembers standing on a bucket at the bandsaw at a very young age. Ellen is also a Senior Front End Engineer, at Lumira DX. She holds an MS, Mathematics, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, a BS Northeastern University, and is a graduate of the North Bennet Street School’s cabinet and furniture making program. Ellen is a member of the Ellwood Shop.
