Ellen Kaspern

Ellen Kaspern is the owner of Ellen Kaspern Design, a custom furniture and design company.  She is a full-time instructor at the North Bennet Street School in their Cabinet & Furniture Making program. She teaches furniture making and woodworking techniques at various schools on the east coast.  She has written articles and blog posts for Fine Woodworking Magazine and Woodcraft Magazine. Her lessons are featured in instructional videos on Fine Woodworking Magazine’s website. She started out woodworking in her father’s shop and remembers standing on a bucket at the bandsaw at a very young age. She holds an MS, Mathematics, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, a BS Northeastern University, and is a graduate of the North Bennet Street School’s cabinet and furniture making program.
