We will investigate the power of the artmaking process through lecture, discussion, and hands-on work in the Studio. We will also study a specific process, printmaking, through the work of keynote speaker and multi-media artist Magda Leon, who will lead a collagraph workshop for each cohort. We’ll explore how to use TAB to facilitate students’ self-expression in a second workshop with TAB teacher and author Abby Birhanu, then finish the week with an art exhibition open to all participants.
Prerequisite: this cohort is open to past Institute attendees or teachers with at least 3 years of TAB classroom experience. For those new to TAB, please register for Elementary School or Middle & High School.
