The screenplay is the foundation of a great film. More than just a compelling story, it serves as a blueprint for production, translating a vision into a form that can be understood by directors, producers, actors, pre- and post-production teams. In this seven-week intensive, participants develop the skills needed to move an idea from the sketch notebook to the digital page, and ultimately to the screen. Through discussions, lectures, screenings, individual and peer review, students write and \ workshop short-form screenplays or individual acts from feature length projects. We  focus on strong formatting, vivid world building,  character development, thematic exploration, and page-turning visual language in order to bring your unique cinematic voice to life.
