Do you long for more self-expression, art and color in your life? Would you like creativity to become a habit but you don’t know where to start? Do you doubt your artistic skills or do you think you don’t have any artistic skills at all?

In this 2 day workshop, Katia Wish invites you to develop a new habit – creativity habit – that you can bring back into your life.

Through a variety of quick, expressive and fun exercises, you will explore different elements of art such as shape, color, space, form, line, value, and texture. You will fill up the whole sketchbook/folder and try a variety of techniques and supplies. Some projects will be more traditional such as drawing and painting. Some would be more experimental such as collage with found objects, paint blots/stamping/splatter and working with silhouettes in black and white paper. You will feel inspired, energized and fearless towards your art-making.

Requirements: curiosity, leaving your fear of art at the door, openness to art of your 5 year old self.

This class meets in person on campus at MassArt.
