James Baldwin said that “an artist’s duty is to reflect the times.” In this workshop we will use collage to express the moment we find ourselves in as a global community. Collage, is a technigue and the resulting work of art in which pieces of paper, photographs, fabric and other ephemera are arranged and stuck down onto a supporting surface. Make meaning of found and made papers, ephemera and photos. We will also review some of the dynamic contemporary artists working in the medium.
