This seven-week course aims to advance students’ evolving drawing practice by providing a structured yet flexible environment for artistic exploration. Building on foundational concepts in drawing such as line, value, composition and proportions; students will expand their drawing approach through assignments that focus on drawing from observation and imagination.
Exercises and prompts will emphasize the relationship between form and content, inventive approaches to pictorial space, stylization, mark-making, and exploration of materials. Group critique and discussion will support growth and advancement in drawing skills.
Intermediate drawing background is suggested. Or completion of a basic drawing class.

This class meets on campus at MassArt.
