In this two-day workshop, students gain the fundamental tools and skills to take their drawings to the next level, in both accuracy and expression. Students work with a range of subjects, from still-life to the human hand. In addition to problem-solving drawing exercises, students learn techniques for depicting proportion, mark-making to build value, and building a composition beginning with general information and moving to the specific. Students learn the ways that compositional hierarchy helps to create the illusion of space. This workshop is ideal for beginners and folks who want to dive back into the foundational core of their drawing practice.
