In this seven-week intensive class, students receive an introductory overview of how to create their own 2D digital artwork. As they gain proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, students learn approaches to compositional techniques that create intrigue and depth in their final artworks. Starting from a blank canvas, students are guided through creating original drawings, collaging found imagery, and exploring unique improvised gestures. Many workflows are explored to create original artworks from start to finish. In this class, students have the chance to learn digital painting, drawing, and collage using both pixel and vector-based techniques. The class includes skill-building workshops, 1:1 meetings, and peer reviews.

This online class uses the ZOOM platform.
