Computer-aided design provides powerful tools for creating and visualizing furniture designs and exploring design variations. It also serves as the foundation and gateway to digital fabrication technologies. Through a series of exercises and projects, furniture makers will learn how to incorporate Autodesk’s Fusion software into their process. Topics include 3D modeling via parametric and direct approaches, drawings, rendering, and preparation for 3D printing, laser cutting, and the CNC router.

This class meets in person at MassArt.
