In this class, students learn how to design and build front-end websites, gaining insight into up-to-date formal design requirements for web development. Interaction Design (UI) and User Experience (UX) theory and best practices are explored in detail. Students investigate the How, What, and Why of web design through the linear process of: analyzing a chosen entity (which may be the student’s own art or design practice/business), building a site flowchart and wireframe, applying visual design principles, and learning how to present their work and communicate ideas effectively with developers who implement their designs.
