This workshop will guide participants through the basics of color in printmaking and four color separation techniques. Departing from simple compositions, students will create monotypes using a variety of methods such as color overlay, viscosity printing, color progression, and experimentation with stencils and masks. The sessions encourage collaboration, with discussions centered around layering techniques and the interplay of colors.

This workshop is for MassArt alumni only. Your day includes lunch.

Housing is available for participating alumni. The housing price on the checkout button is for the workshop plus one night’s stay.

  • All rooms are in air conditioned dorm suites with a shared bathroom.
  • Beds are twin XL. Linen is provided.
