Dr. Saul Nava
Dr. Saul Nava is a biologist, Professor of Biology and Life Sciences and Chair of the newly created Department of Integrative Sciences and Biological Arts at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. His research focuses on the ecology and evolution of animal behavior, communication, and vision. He conducts field work studying lizard behavior and ecology and facilitates Field Studies of Art+Nature throughout the tropics, the Caribbean, and the Southwest U.S. Dr. Nava is the co-founder of Art+Bio Collaborative and is an active artist and science muralist. He is passionate about the integration of art, biology, and education to explore novel methods of creativity, collaboration, community engagement, and inquiry about the natural world.
