Natalie Brescia

Natalie Brescia is an American artist who was born in California. She received a Bachelors of Arts in Fine Art from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Master of Fine Arts from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Working at the intersection of photography, bookmaking, and installation, her interdisciplinary artistic research is based on the mythos of the Western landscape, exploring the concept of land as a container for personal and collective history, gesture, vulnerability, and associated memory. Brescia has shown nationally and internationally at institutions such as Benrubi Gallery in New York and the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History. This year she is the Post Graduate Teaching Fellow at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
