Julie Toole

Julie Toole (she/her/hers), Instructor at the Elementary Level

Julie is a National Board-Certified art teacher for grades 1-8 at the Baker Demonstration School in Willamette, IL, and previously taught for 20 years in the Chicago Public Schools. At the TAB Summer Institute in Boston, she leads the Diversity, Equity and Justice work that is the foundation of the Institute. Julie is a trained SEED facilitator, co-founder and advisor for her middle school GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance), and leads an elective called Artists as Activists. Julie is a frequent presenter on her equity work and TAB practice at state and national conferences, and leads professional development across the US. Julie serves on the Board of Teaching for Artistic Behavior, Inc.
