Hayden Nupcharoen
Hayden Nupcharoen is a multidisciplinary artist from Washington state with a focus on woodcraft and mixed media sculpture. He graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in the spring of 2025 with a BFA in sculpture and is a proud recipient of the Windgate-Lamar fellowship. Hayden’s work explores the nature of art made in community and the transmission of craft tradition between generations of makers. His process relies heavily on research, mindful gathering of materials, discourse, and somatic experimentation, resulting in objects that are activated by the presence of their human counterparts. With making-in-community being at the center of his work, Hayden pursues teaching craft workshops to share his practice, in the hope that it will inspire others to be curious about rekindling their connection to creativity and the greater world.
