Saturday Painting Group
This is a seven week course starts with quick exercises working from a still life on week 1 and then working from a live model on weeks 2 and 3. The course will shift into more independent work starting Week 4 through 7. The participants will respond to prompts and will be allowed to respond to these in their own manner. They may bring in source materials to work from.
Participants gain confidence and independence in developing and constructing the picture plane through working out of the formal elements, exploration and invention.
There will be no wrong responses but many springboards of possibilities. Group and individual critiques will also help push the painter forward. A strong/intermediate painting background is helpful. Both oil and acrylics are ok.
No class October 14th.
