Portfolio Strategies: Building and Designing Your Portfolio
This online course features the following types of interaction:
- Live meetings
- Live critiques
If you have ever assembled a portfolio, you know that it can be a daunting project. This workshop provides structure and guidance for artists/designers who wish to complete a professional, academic or personal portfolio. The workshop will meet three times as a group and each student will meet three additional times with faculty for one-on-one critiques.
Discussions will cover how to edit and order visual work, find the right format for your goals, establish a hierarchy for page layout, font size and sequence.
Students should have a body of work ready for organizing in a portfolio and a means through which work can be documented. Adobe Suite knowledge is preferred however work-arounds are possible. The final product will be a print-ready digital portfolio
Note: Class meets June 7, 14, and 28 (no class June 21).
Individual meetings will be arranged with each student.
