Eco-Printing: Cloth in Collaboration with Nature

During this workshop we will draw from nature’s wild and extravagant bounty to create unique patterning and surface designs on fabric. We will explore both eco-printing and shibori techniques using natural dyes such as mint, onion skins, and cochineal. You will come away from the weekend with a uniquely dyed scarf, numerous fabric samples, and inspiration for further experimentation! Maximum 10 students.  Students should bring to class

  • Collected leaves, flowers, and plant matter (can be fresh, pressed or frozen)
