In this immersive, hands-on learning experience, participants develop an understanding of the components of filmmaking, including shooting techniques, composition, sound, scene-based and character-driven storytelling, interviewing, and editing. Students develop skills through a series of exercises and discussions. Open to all levels. Where possible, students bring their own digital video camcorder and tripod (if it accepts an external microphone and provides audio monitoring) to learn to work with it. Limited to 12 students.
