Continuing education classes are being taught remotely. Studio classes have live remote meetings. Basic requirements to take a class are an internet connection, computer, and an internet linked camera (like a cell phone). Most classes will be hosted through Zoom or MassArt Moonami. This online course features the following types of interaction:

This course is a comprehensive introduction to the field of children’s book illustration. Students will develop the skills necessary for creating a children’s book, including character development and generating illustrations that complement and enhance the text. Students will create their own children’s book characters and narrative, and will make a 32-page dummy book in exactly the form used to submit children’s books to publishers. The students will explore a variety of traditional and digital media to come up with their own unique ways to illustrate the book
