Fall 2020 continuing education classes are being taught remotely. Studio classes have live remote meetings. Basic requirements to take a class are an internet connection, computer, and an internet linked camera (like a cell phone). Most classes will be hosted through Zoom or MassArt Moonami. This online course features the following types of interaction:

  • Live meetings

Learn how to shoot great moving imagery to create engaging stories. This course will cover the aesthetic and technical skills needed to visually construct scenes – whether for documentary of fiction filmmaking. Shooting grammar and techniques will be presented, exercised and evaluated in terms of their aesthetic quality, editability and impact on story. Students will use the equipment available to them, whether it is a phone or professional video camera, and will need access to Adobe Premiere Pro to demonstrate the editability of their shot material.
